Poikkeuksellisen kiinnostava ja dokumentoitu suomalainen klassikkopyörä. Pyörällä on Tapio Virtasen kisahistoriaa 1980-luvun alusta. Tapio Virtanen tunnetaan suomalaisessa moottoripyöräkilpailuhistoriassa MZ-GP tehdaskuljettajana ja FIM 750 cc -kuljettajana.

Pyörän historiaa tukevat Mobilisti-lehden artikkeli, museoajoneuvotodistus sekä aikakauden kilpailukuvat. Mobilisti 6/2010:n sisällysluettelossa Laverda Jota 1000 näkyy lehden sisältöaiheena, ja lehti toimii pyörän historian kannalta relevanttina lähdemateriaalina.

TM-981 liittyy suomalaisessa Laverda-historiassa tunnettuun Gran Motor Oy:n aikakauteen, ja pyörä on mainittu myös Scuderia Laverda Finlandian dokumenteissa ja historiallisissa valokuvissa. Scuderia Laverda Finlandia on vuodesta 1981 toimiva suomalaisten Laverda-harrastajien kerho. Taustan perusteella kyseessä on aito suomalaismarkkinainen yksilö, ei myöhemmin käytettynä maahantuotu pyörä.

Mukana olevassa aikakauden varikkokuvassa näkyy Gran Motor -merkinnöillä varustettu Laverda-kilpapyörä, ja kuvissa erottuu myös sama etulokasuojan tyyppi kuin nykykuvissa, mikä tukee pyörän historiallista jatkuvuutta.

This is a highly interesting and well-documented Finnish-market example of the iconic Laverda Jota 1000. The motorcycle has a documented early-1980s racing connection to Tapio Virtanen. Tapio Virtanen is known in Finnish motorcycle racing history as an MZ-GP factory rider and FIM 750 cc competitor.

The bike is supported by a Mobilisti magazine feature, museum vehicle certificate, and period racing photographs. Mobilisti 6/2010 includes Laverda Jota 1000 in its issue contents, which supports the relevance of the magazine article in the motorcycle’s documented history.

The registration TM-981 is recognised in Finnish Laverda enthusiast material and is associated with the Gran Motor era. The motorcycle is also referenced in Scuderia Laverda Finlandia documentation and historical photographs. Scuderia Laverda Finlandia is the Finnish Laverda enthusiasts’ club founded in 1981. Based on this background, the motorcycle can be presented as a genuine Finnish-delivered example, rather than a later used import.
